Development & Design Optimisation for Navitus Offshore Wind Farm - 1.2GW
The aim of the following is to design a 1.2GW windfarm, located in Round 3 location to the South and West of the Isle of Wight and Purbeck.
Objectives:
• Design selection of HAWT (rated power: 10.5MW)
• Wind Resource assessment
• Wind Turbine parameters optimization
• Wind Farm layout design
• Calculation of yearly energy capture
• Investigation of cost effectiveness, structural implications
• Identification construction and operational environmental impacts of wind turbine, operational life & decommissioning
